I am seeking a reliable and detail-focused Sewing Associate to join our busy production facility client located in Somerton. This role is within a fast-paced manufacturing environment producing textile-based products for commercial distribution.

I am seeking a reliable and detail-focused Sewing Associate to join our busy production facility client located in Somerton. This role is within a fast-paced manufacturing environment producing textile-based products for commercial distribution.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with industrial or commercial sewing experience who takes pride in quality workmanship and is comfortable working in a production line environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines (single needle and overlock machines)
- Perform serging and edge finishing on fabric products
- Thread machines, change needles, bobbins, and adjust settings as required
- Inspect finished products and correct defects or inconsistencies
- Carry out basic machine troubleshooting and escalate maintenance issues when required
- Work to production schedules and quality standards set by supervisors
- Maintain accurate production output records
- Support broader production team duties as required across the line
- Ability to lift up to 20–25kg as required
- Ability to sit and operate machinery for extended periods
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a production environment
- 1–2 years’ experience in machine or industrial sewing (preferred)
- Experience using industrial sewing machines (single needle and/or overlock)
- Ability to maintain and adjust sewing machinery
- Strong attention to detail and quality focus
- Good time management and ability to meet production targets
- Team-oriented with a flexible approach to tasks
- Experience in manufacturing or production environments advantageous
- Due to workplace health and safety requirements, candidates must be 18 years or older to operate industrial sewing machinery
- Ability to work across rotating shifts (multiple shift availability required)
- High school completion or equivalent preferred
- Position does not suit Working Holiday Visa Holders.
