Funeral Administration Assistant

Mayday is proud to be partnering with a respected and compassionate funeral services organisation in Geelong West to find an Administrative Assistant to support their busy and dedicated team.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a meaningful industry where care, empathy, and attention to detail make a real difference to families during some of life’s most difficult moments.

In this role, you will provide essential administrative and coordination support to Funeral Arrangers and Conductors, helping ensure every service is delivered smoothly, respectfully, and in line with family wishes. As the first point of contact for families walking through the door, you will play an important role in creating a warm, professional, and supportive environment, delivering exceptional service with empathy and care.

You’ll be part of a close-knit team that values professionalism, compassion, and calmness under pressure.

We are looking for someone who brings:

• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• A calm, compassionate, and empathetic approach to customer service
• The ability to manage sensitive conversations with professionalism and care
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities
• A willingness to learn and work within established processes and systems

Previous experience in funeral services, healthcare, aged care, or high-touch customer service environments will be highly regarded, but not essential.
