This NSW Government department plays a key role in supporting the wellbeing of communities across the state and is currently delivering a range of high-impact projects throughout NSW.

They are looking for an experienced Procurement Business Partner to join the team immediately and lead the delivery of ICT procurement initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need a strong understanding of public sector procurement, along with proven expertise in strategic sourcing best practices, particularly across ICT categories.

Please note, this is a hybrid contract role, offering flexibility to work from either Sydney or the Central Coast.
 

The Job…
Reporting into the A/Director, in this procurement sourcing focused role, you will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Lead and manage the team to deliver value-for-money outcomes, aligned with government policies and stakeholder expectations.
  • Identify and manage commercial, financial, contractual, and supply chain risks. 
  • Lead negotiations on complex contracts to deliver cost savings, efficiencies, and strong procurement outcomes.
  • Oversee end-to-end contract management and uplift team capability. 
  • Provide expert procurement advice to stakeholders.
  • Support the design and delivery of innovative procurement strategies that drive value and meet business needs.
  • Manage supplier relationships to minimise risk, resolve issues, and ensure service performance meets KPIs.
  • Develop evidence-based procurement strategies and policies.

To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following areas:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar Senior Procurement role.
  • Proven expertise in ICT procurement.
  • Demonstrated experience leading high-value, complex contracts, with a focus on supplier performance and value for money.
  • Strong knowledge of NSW Government procurement systems, policies, and regulations (essential).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical, commercial, and procurement information to non-technical stakeholders.
