Industrial Laborer

Are you looking for overtime? We are seeking hardworking and dependable Industrial Laborers to join a coal and limestone processing facility in Kennerdale, PA. This position is responsible for maintaining clean and safe work areas throughout the plant, supporting material flow operations, and assisting with general labor tasks across multiple buildings and processing areas.

This is a physically demanding position that requires employees to work in a dusty industrial environment, climb stairs and ladders, walk long distances, and perform manual labor throughout the shift. 

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness throughout the facility by removing coal, limestone, and material buildup around conveyors, transfer points, hoppers, and processing equipment.

• Shovel and return spilled material to conveyor systems to maintain production flow.

• Monitor conveyor systems and work areas for material buildup, blockages, or operational concerns and report issues to supervisors.

• Remove metal and debris collected by magnetic separators.

• Assist with clearing plugged chutes, hoppers, and equipment when machinery is properly shut down and safe to access.

• Perform general housekeeping duties throughout the plant to maintain safe working conditions.

• Conduct routine inspections of assigned work areas and report safety hazards or equipment concerns.

• Work safely around conveyors, crushers, processing equipment, and other industrial machinery.

• Follow all plant safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers using radios and other communication devices.

• Assist with maintenance support and additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous industrial, manufacturing, construction, mining, labor, or outdoor work experience preferred.

• Ability to safely use hand tools and perform physical labor.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong attendance and reliability.

• Ability to work safely in a dusty, noisy industrial environment.

• Ability to follow safety procedures and workplace instructions.

• Ability to stand and walk for the majority of a 12-hour shift.

• Frequent climbing of stairs, ladders, catwalks, and elevated work platforms throughout multiple buildings.

• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, shovel, and perform continuous physical labor.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

• Ability to work in varying temperatures, weather conditions, dust, and noise.

• Ability to wear required PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and respirators.

Benefits/Compensation

• Full Time 5am - 5pm

• Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

• Monday - Friday with overtime available

• Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts

• Benefits available while employed through Career Concepts

• Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

• Benefits available after probationary period upon hire
