We are currently assisting our client with a Director of Manufacturing Engineering located near Piedmont, SC. The Director is a key part of the leadership team responsible for a large department focused on improving manufacturing processes and equipment. Ideal candidates will possess extensive experience implementing systems, strive to build accountability throughout the department, and have a 'lead from the front' management style.
Responsibilities:
- Develop methods, processes, and procedures that will improve processes, eliminate failures, and reduce manufacturing costs
- Determine long-term company objectives in terms of maintenance metrics and action plans to achieve those strategic goals
- Work in conjunction with other departments including operations, marketing, and product development to ensure company needs are being met
- Lead efforts in testing, installing, and commissioning manufacturing lines for new products
- Oversee team members while still contributing to continuous improvement at the site
- Regularly review plant layout for potential improvements
- Lead capital projects for new equipment installation, equipment upgrades, or facilities improvements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required, Engineering discipline preferred
- 7+ years' progressive experience with in-depth knowledge of Lean manufacturing, technology, and processes
Total Compensation:
- $195,000 - $225,000
