Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled engineer comfortable working with high-pressure systems (4000 PSI hydraulic) and knowledgeable in drilling fluids, with the ability to build and check mud properties. A good mechanical understanding is essential, as the role requires the ability to take equipment apart and reassemble it. Attention to detail is crucial for monitoring equipment pressure during tests and making precise adjustments. Ideally, the candidate should be curious and eager to understand the reasoning behind their tasks. The role also requires the capability to lift and move 50lbs repeatedly throughout the day.

Educational Background:

  • BS in Engineering

Experience:

  • 1-3 years as a mechanical, chemical, or petroleum engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing innovative and cost-effective solutions through the development or improvement of techniques, procedures, or products.
  • Assist in planning, conducting, and evaluating approaches to meet project objectives in a timely fashion.
  • Identify and organize requirements, applying relevant usability procedures and principles.
  • Analyze, design, develop, and maintain products, assisting in their commercialization.
  • Build prototypes, products, and systems suitable for testing.
  • Set up and run lab simulations, design and implement tests, document results, and develop customer presentations.
  • Provide timely corrective actions on defects.
  • Produce analyses and mathematical models and draw design conclusions based on those.
  • Conduct or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, code, and other artifacts.
  • Contribute to design standards and support design re-use.
  • Create and maintain product documentation.
  • Provide support to field and customers and offer user training as required.
  • Assign, direct, and review work of technicians and provide guidance to engineers.
  • Mentor junior engineers as you gain seniority.
  • Continually evaluate engineering approaches and risks.
  • Author technical reports, papers, articles, patents, and presentations.
  • Share expertise via special interest groups and expand your informal network throughout the organization.
  • Stay informed about technical concepts and markets.
  • Adopt new practices readily to develop innovative and low-cost products.
  • Maintain familiarity with company technology, organization, and business.
  • Comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements as defined in the risk control matrix.
