About the role
This role supports a Litigation Partner and their wider team where you will take charge of a wide range of litigation matters. You will undertake standard legal assistant duties and apply your knowledge and talents in handling litigation matters from initial instruction to finalisation. This is a 3 month contract, with the possibility for an extension.

Skills and experience
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a litigation legal assistant and have strong self-motivation and eagerness to 'hit the ground running'.

Duties
Some of your responsibilities will include:-
- prepare and type legal documents and associated correspondence
- liaise with clients, barristers, principals, experts and solicitors
- manage diaries, arrange appointments and coordinate meetings
- prepare and collate briefs to counsel
- manage files and emails
- create detailed bills and disbursement accounts
- screen telephone calls
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a litigation legal assistant and have strong self-motivation and eagerness to 'hit the ground running'.
You will also be able to demonstrate:-
- exceptional communication (written and verbal) skills
- ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments
- advanced technical skills (MS Word, typing, legal practice management systems. Experience with Affinity an advantage)
- ability to effectively prioritise your work and multi-task
- excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
- friendly and supportive team attitude
