Low Voltage Cabling Technician & Lead Technician – Structured Cabling

We are actively hiring both technicians and lead techs for ongoing structured cabling projects throughout the Charlotte area.

Responsibilities

  • Pull, route, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cabling
  • Install and build out MDF/IDF rooms, racks, cabinets, patch panels, and ladder rack systems
  • Test installed cabling using Fluke or similar testers
  • Install cable tray, J-hooks, pathway systems, and support infrastructure
  • Read and interpret blueprints, system layouts, and cable schedules
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional installs
  • Work safely on ladders and lifts in commercial environments
  • Assist with or install fiber optic cabling (a plus)

Lead Technician Responsibilities

  • Lead small crews and direct daily workflow onsite
  • Coordinate with project managers and onsite leadership
  • Ensure quality installs, labeling standards, and productivity goals are met
  • Help train and mentor junior technicians

Requirements

  • 2+ years of commercial structured cabling experience (Tech level)
  • 3–5+ years for lead-level candidates
  • Experience with CAT5e/CAT6 pulling and termination
  • Ability to work independently and maintain quality workmanship
  • Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
  • Basic hand tools and PPE required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fiber optic experience
  • Experience with rack & stack and IDF/MDF buildouts
  • OSHA, lift, or BICSI certifications
  • Experience in commercial, industrial, warehouse, or data center environments
