Quality Control

• Inspect incoming shipments to confirm they meet quality standards.
• Conduct routine inventory inspections to ensure quality is maintained during storage.
• Investigate and help resolve quality-related issues, documenting findings and actions taken.
• Collaborate with warehouse leadership to develop, improve, and implement quality control procedures.
• Maintain accurate quality records and report trends/findings to management.
• Train and educate warehouse staff on quality control procedures, food safety practices, and compliance standards.
• Stay current on quality/food safety best practices and recommend process improvements to reduce errors and increase efficiency.
• Lead and support the warehouse internal audit process.
• Help improve allergen training and related processes.
• Complete weekly and monthly temperature probe inspections and required calibrations.
• Serve as a key point of contact—alongside leadership—for customer, regulatory, and external audits.
• Own and manage document control changes (updates, revisions, controlled distribution).
• Audit warehouse processes to ensure procedures are being followed consistently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Quality Control Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required (college preferred).
• Experience with food safety training and quality control, ideally in a warehouse/cold storage environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and compliance expectations (e.g., FDA/USDA concepts), auditing practices, and quality procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Organized and dependable—able to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing needs.
