Manufacturing Laborer

General Assembly / Machine Operator. In this role, you'll be part of the manufacturing process, assembling and operating machinery to produce high-quality brushes used across various industries. Location: Mentor, OH
Shifts: 1st shift- 7:20 am - 3:50 pm, Monday- Friday - $16.25/hour
2nd shift- 4 pm - 12:30 am, Monday- Friday - $17.25/hour

This is a contract to hire opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform simple, repetitive hand and machine production tasks to safely and efficiently assemble or twist brushes made from various materials
• Cut and prepare fill material for use in brush assembly or twisting operations
• Spread and position fill material evenly between stem wires using guides or stops
• Twist and assemble brushes in varying order quantities and package them for shipment
• Obtain first-piece inspections and monitor work in process against quality standards
• Follow work instructions, safety protocols, and operating procedures for machine loading and adjustments
• Occasionally perform additional tasks such as attaching handles, ferrules, or couplings; threading stems; pulling springs; trimming ends; and shaping wire
• Record production data accurately and report any equipment issues, defective materials, or unusual conditions to the supervisor

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Willingness to learn and grow within a manufacturing environment
