The Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven State Manager to lead and grow the Professional division across Queensland, South Australia, and the Northern Territory.
Reporting to the ANZ Regional Director, you will drive commercial performance through strong leadership, customer retention, and new business development while building a high-performing, customer-focused team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute state sales strategies aligned with national objectives
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales and service team
- Conduct performance reviews and implement development plans
- Drive accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
- Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales, margin, and EBITDA targets
- Manage P&L performance, ensuring revenue growth and margin optimisation
- Execute pricing strategies and deliver price increase initiatives
- Provide accurate forecasting across new and existing business
- Strengthen relationships with existing customers and key accounts
- Identify and win new business opportunities across target sectors
- Expand market presence and grow the customer base
- Collaborate with internal teams including marketing and customer service
- Drive effective use of CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) for pipeline and activity management
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and procedures
- Provide regular reporting and field coaching to the team
- Manage state budgets and resource allocation

Skills & Experience
- Proven experience leading successful sales teams
- Strong financial acumen with P&L management experience
- Demonstrated track record of revenue growth and profitability
- Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking ability
- Energetic, driven, and results-focused
- Strong leadership capability with a passion for developing teams
- Willing and able to travel regularly across QLD, SA and NT
