Senior Project Engineer - Telecommunications Systems & Infrastructure

About the role:
Join a high-performing engineering team delivering major telecommunications systems and infrastructure projects across industries including mining, resources, and mission-critical operations.
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to take ownership of engineering delivery - coordinating teams, driving performance, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to scope.

• 18 month fixed-term contract, extension / conversion to FTE based on performance
• $160-190k + super

What you’ll be doing:

• You’ll play a critical leadership role in coordinating engineering delivery across the full project lifecycle, including design, procurement, construction, testing and handover.
• Coordinate and oversee engineering delivery across multidisciplinary teams for assigned projects
• Work closely with Project Managers and engineering teams to meet delivery targets
• Manage engineering scope, priorities, resources, and schedules
• Oversee design reviews, Safety in Design, and engineering compliance
• Manage technical queries, engineering change, and design deliverables
• Interface with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders
• Drive project performance, reporting, and technical outcomes
• Support site works, commissioning, and project closeout
• Mentor and support junior engineers and team development
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes

What you’ll need to be successful in the role:

• Full Australian working rights – this role offers no form of Visa sponsorship or relocation assistance. Applicants that require sponsorship will not be considered.
• Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, Electronic Engineering (or similar)
• 10+ years’ experience in engineering project delivery
• Background in telecommunications, mining, oil & gas, defence, or infrastructure
• Proven experience in EPC environments and large-scale project execution
• Strong knowledge of engineering design, delivery processes, project scheduling, estimating & reporting, contract scope and change management
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex deliverables
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or eligibility (Engineers Australia) – HIGHLY REGARDED
