Finance Manager / Senior Company Accountant | Residential Construction | Hawkesbury 

A well-established residential construction business is seeking an experienced Finance Manager / Senior Company Accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function and become a key operational support across the business.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working autonomously, improving processes and being the go-to person for all things finance and accounts.

The Role Reporting directly to senior leadership, responsibilities will include:
  • End-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • BAS preparation and general tax administration support
  • Payroll oversight and reconciliations
  • Insurance and fleet management administration
  • Cashflow management and reporting
  • Monthly reporting and account reconciliations
  • Managing and improving finance processes and procedures
  • Working across Xero and Databuild systems
  • Supporting the broader business with operational finance matters
The business is looking for someone capable of owning the finance function long-term, with future scope to help build out the accounts team underneath them.

About You:
  • Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Company Accountant or Senior Bookkeeper position
  • Strong end-to-end accounts experience within construction, property or project-based industries
  • Experience using Xero and/or Databuild
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • The ability to work independently and confidently manage competing priorities
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
