Are you a seasoned AI professional passionate about transforming enterprise workflows through cutting-edge solutions? A top investment firm is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI systems within a dynamic New York City-based Technology team. This role offers a unique opportunity to prototype rapidly, refine solutions, and influence strategic decisions—whether building in-house or integrating vendor solutions—while delivering measurable results across research, portfolio operations, and client reporting.

Required Skills:

  • 7-10 years of software or ML engineering experience with a focus on production systems
  • Minimum 2 years building with Large Language Models (LLMs) in production
  • Strong proficiency in Python or TypeScript
  • Expertise with APIs, event-driven architectures, and enterprise AI platform integrations
  • Experience with Azure services including Azure OpenAI, App Services, Key Vault, and identity management
  • Data engineering skills in SQL and operational data management
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and technical documentation

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Asset management or financial services domain experience
  • Microsoft Power Platform, Graph, SharePoint, Teams
  • Vector databases such as Azure AI Search, Redis, Pinecone
  • Orchestration tools like Semantic Kernel or LangChain
  • Frontend development with React or Power Apps
  • Familiarity with process mining and business process optimization

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
  • Proven track record of shipping enterprise-grade AI solutions
